I walk around the lodge with whomever is receiving the lecture in both the EA and MM lectures as well as the FC. I find that it seems to keep the recipient more focused and myself as well.
Sometimes another lecturer and myself will split the MM lecture into 2 parts, just for the sake of doing...
There are Brothers that have been sitting on the side lines for years and have never "heard" any of the lectures.
IMO, it is not all necessarily about the candidate.
Re: Membership and participation in Freemasonry to
I don't know how accurate it is but I have read that the percentages of the male population, pre-WW2 vs today, is about the same.

Quite a departure from your usual "doom and gloom" and "the sky is falling" pertaining to this subject.

I understand where you are coming from Brother. Sad to say, but around my jurisdiction at least, there is a lot more lip service regarding Masonic Education than actual desire for the same. Occasionally, some will listen but 99% of them will not participate.
I gave up some time ago. I no...
Haven't been there in a number of years but when I was, there were 2 awesome museums. Don't remember the names. Spent an entire day in one looking at the guns, saddles and Indian artifacts.
Restaurants? Don't know if it still exists but the "Magic Time Machine". A fun, fun place.
I...
I don't understand why we, as Freemasons, should be concerned about what the Pope says or thinks of our Fraternity.
We are not trying to win a popularity contest are we?
