QUOTEWhile it is true that all American presidents are made honorary 32 degree Freemasons, it cannot be said that every president followed pure Masonic philosophy.QUOTE
Are you sure that the first part of this statement is true??? I have never heard it before.
I didn't know we were splitting hairs between Blue Lodge and other Masonic Orgs.
Less of a Mason? No, but If they take an active part in Scottish Rite/York Rite then they most likely have memorized some parts of it.
I don't understand the "Missionary is a strange organizations".
IMO the memorization of, at least, the catechisms are an integral part of the initiating process that sets Masonry apart from all organizations.
Memorization is, largely, what imprints on the mind Masonic lessons. Once over lightly, by that I mean no memorization, no Masonic education, no...
Yes. Not attending Lodge does not make one a "bad" Mason just as attending Lodge does not necessarily make one a "good" Mason.
It is a philosophy and way of life of trying to do the right things. I don't think a Brother has to attend Lodge in order to do this. It might be easy to think and...

Great that the Brethren are remembering the widows.

Excellent post. IMO this definition is what was meant by Masonic charity in its original form. In this form it is all-encompassing.

Bro Lins, I agree up to a point but in my own case..
I learned the lecture of the EA degree 30+ years ago and for the first couple-3 of years all I did was recite the words. As time and experience past I became aware of the lessons, symbols etc and am able to deliver it in a much better...
I read this somewhere and have no idea who first said it;
"The beauty of ritual is that it allows tradition to be passed on by those who don't understand it."
The other side of the coin, so to speak.
"Doing the same thing the same way and hoping for different results?"
No one in the "leadership"(?) of this country is held accountable. If we had as much accountability as we do apathy in the US things might be different. The same people are reelected time after time. Might be our just...
"A stepping stone to socialism".
Similar words were spoken when social security came about. Same words were said for the medicaid/medicare programs. These programs have benefited millions. The problems lie in the administration of these and future programs.
