I've read the bible cover to cover several times. I used to want to be a pastor, and spent much of my time reading the bible. The first few times I did it cover to cover, but tbh, you get bogged down in Genesis that way. several times i used the "bible in a year" type of programs, and more...
Very cool link! lots of cool info. It'd probably mean more if I'd witnessed any NMJ degrees, but still very cool.
it is funny about fb, isn't it?! i remember when i first joined, you had to have a college email address to join. now you just have to have an email address, and people use it for...
I also recommend going during the dinner before stated meeting. it's the perfect time to sit down and get to know some of the guys at the lodge, and to let them get to know you some too. Good luck!
I don't know how much we pull in from it, but TC #1451 does some work at the TMS events. It's a pretty easy fundraiser, and a good opportunity to get some practice in on your work, as most of the day there is NO ONE around.

Yesterday I went through the shrine... Even more so than with Scottish Rite, I found that the VAST majority of our New Nobles (myself of course included) are 25-35yrs old. A lot of the guys said something to the effect of "I need something bigger than myself". I think that's DEFINITELY a...
Actually, if you're interested in the philosophies presented, you might find that "the essential Zohar" is a very interesting read. http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Zohar-Source-Kabbalistic-Wisdom/dp/0609609270
I agree, solicitation is a bad idea. I also think that much of this is our own fault... Masonry was CHURNING out candidates in the early 20th century. There are pictures of lodges with lines of candidates circling the building, just waiting to get inside. Masonry survived 300 years BEFORE the...
