I don't have any experience in such a situation, but an unbiased third party such as a minister or counselor to lend an ear is definitely a good idea.

Anything that could deepen your Masonic knowledge. Poems, music, history, esoterica, etc but really a emphasis on papers and/or talks. Any sort of presentation, not counting non-Masonic related ones.
Check out the comments of the second link (the one on Masonry), it's a hoot. Like most uninformed parties, what is being said is sometimes preposterous and at times just plain hilarious.

Oh I'm aware that he does and of course we abide. Same thing that the bible presentation is (in an overly simplified sense): fluff. However, just because its non ritual doesn't mean it can't be made meaningful.

I mean if you were to do a CoR and did it completely before ever opening a lodge period, it would be hard to argue that you were tinkering with ritual.

My tip? The degree of MM is the *beginning* of your masonic journey rather than the end. Never stop striving to understand and apply the tenets to your daily life. Do not grow complacent in bettering yourself brother. Also, congrats!!
