I was there and met him. He caught me unaware and I forgot to stand. >.< I realized it a min or so after, but it was too late by then. First time is met him so it shocked me a bit.

Prayers are supposed to be non-sectarian, yes. Often I hear our chaplain slip, but largely it isn't an issue.
I'd suggest invest in this book: http://www.amazon.com/Prayers-Chaplain-Book-Masonic/dp/1608368416 or similar one.
Giving some variety and mixing some masonic context into your prayers...
Congrats. Do yourself and your fellow masons a favor. Do not stop seeking light. Keep learning and improving yourself and your masonic knowledgebase and in-turn become a well-informed brother and speak to others on topics you find interesting. Spreading masonic light is getting more and more rare.
What you are looking for is the Grande Loge du Royaume du Maroc. I cannot locate a suitable website for them however. It should be located in Casablanca. If you can contact them, they should be able to put you in contact w/ a lodge.
GLoTX has no cipher books at all. There is however the infamous "blue book" for tx which is an unofficial cipher (and full of errors). Any cipher used in instruction is a masonic no no here.

I agree that some things could be published openly, but personally I thinks it's easier to publish nothing (that is, not publicly) rather than have to split hairs on what is and isn't appropriate.

Sadly mine doesn't have a good story behind it. I bought mine on amazon. Hopefully I'll have a customs one made some day an GAOTU willing I'll give it to my son or other close person one day. Hah

In TX we don't have a cipher book we use so that's easy enough, as for the shot of liquor I skipped the cough syrup. Honestly I just made sure I faced away from all the eyes (even if I could feel them burning in to the back of my head) and tried to remember to breathe. nobody counts off for...
Not that I've ever heard of. Although, petitioning candidates are often found making the move to come to the lodge and hang out w/ brethren and get to know them.
As far as I know NMJ still calls it Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret. Yah, I remember seeing it called that in older SMJ literature. I wonder when it changed.
