Good timing on this thread, because I've recently been considering it. I obtained the rank of Master Sergeant (E-8) in the Army Reserves. My highest rank in the active Army was Sergeant E-5. I know the E-5 doesn't work, but does reserve rank? And what proof is needed? I never got a new DD214...
This was a book chosen for our lodge reading group. There's a lot of food for thought in it. I wasn't a fan of his idea of requiring formal dress, but I understand why he argues for it. We're a historically rural lodge, and casual dress has been the norm for a long time as far as I can tell...
Re: Should Grand Lodges mandate that all subordina
LOL...Hadn't thought about GeoCities websites in a long time! I've seen some lodges who use "free" web hosting services that run ads, and saw ads for a strip club on a Masonic site. Lovely.
I gambled and took the "easier to get forgiveness...
Click on "My Profile" on the top of the page. Then click on the "about me" tab that comes up. Next to the question "are you a master mason?" you'll see a pencil icon. Click on that, it will allow you to edit your status. I don't have my tablet fired up right now, but I don't think you can...

I came to realize that my lodge didn't have a rough and perfect ashlar. Since this area is known for its beautiful "Kasota limestone," I thought we should have ashlars quarried locally. I went to the local quarry and had them make me up a rough and perfect ashlar and donated them. They came...
Since the first step in York Rite is the Royal Arch Chapter, start with the Chapter locator of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Illinois: http://ram-il.org/chapters/chapter-finder/ Also, there are bound to be brothers in your blue lodge who will be more than happy to help you. Ask them before...
I would just say "thank you for your concern" and let it drop. I always represent. I always have at least a ring on, and most of my sport coats have a Masonic lapel pin of some sort.
I've been told that aprons that have been rolled up in tubes for forty-fifty years don't want to unroll, and are a problem at the time of the funeral.
I wouldn't mess around with home remedies for the apron. Find a cleaners or a leather shop that really knows how to clean and treat leather and...

In all fairness, there are also historians who dismiss the theory.

There is some credence being given to a theory that the grain stores of Salem became contaminated with ergot fungus, which is the source of LSD. It may have been mass ergot poisoning with the accompanying hallucinations that started the hysteria.
