Just curious how you saw politics and religion in this thread. How does your jurisdiction draw the line on what constitutes these topics to avoid in open Lodge.
Many of us in this group, myself included, have Masonic tattoos. But my advice here, I'm not sure using Masonic symbols as "filler" for a tattoo is the way to go. If you're going to indelibly inscribe them onto your temple, wouldn't you rather that each emblem have a specific meaning or reason...
Since Shawn necroed this thread I'll chime in. I quit the Reddit r/Freemasonry because of the rampant hypocrisy. In the same discussion talking to potential members the posters, supposedly Freemasons, will also have profanity laced discussions comparing genitalia or other such nonsense. I made...
Surely the OES membership requirements are spelled put in the Code for your GL. What does it say? If not there then they have to be stipulated somewhere.

I see what you mean now. We have the same situation in my GL with the Wisconsin Masonic Center in Madison Wisconsin managed by a foundation now. But when they needed money to shore it up they just added a tax on everyone's dues for a few years. I'm still annoyed that vote passed. lol

You would start by contacting the local Lodge to express interest. If you do not know where that is start with the Grand Lodge of SC.

Non of Dan Brown's books were well represented, in my opinion, on the screen. They just didn't translate well. With so much of the exposition in the novels that made them enjoyable being carved away for their screen adaptations they were just not enjoyable for me. But the Peacock adaptation of...
There is no set timetable. It all depends on connecting with one or more Freemasons in that area and then probably however long it takes them to get comfortable with you before they introduce you to the Lodge. If you are looking for a quick entrance to Freemasonry there you will most likely be...
This is only the first of likely to many difficulties you will face as you try to join an organization that is seen by many governments in that region as a subversive Zionist plot. But if it is something you genuinely want to do then persevere and understand that the process will take time. It...
Regularity and recognition absolutely matter if for no other reason than to protect potential candidates from falling prey to the many organizations that call themselves Freemasonry but are actually little better than money making schemes for unscrupulous individuals preying on the those who do...
