Except that the Order of the Eastern Star is not a female version of Freemasonry. It is an association connected to Freemasonry. The requirement was that an applicant had to have a male family member who was a Mason, but not sure if that still applies.

Not sure where my Brothers came up with Maryland. Your bio says you are from Windhoek Rehoboth. That's Namibia, correct? There appears to be 5 Lodges right there in Windhoek. Try this link to get in touch with someone...
My Emulation Lodge never does more than one degree for one person at a meeting. Make the night about that Brother.

Well, I'm not sure I care for that at all. Granted, one could argue it isn't much different from sitting in the stands watching the degrees. But this reduces it to a whole new level of why even have the appendent body? Just upload the videos to the GL website and encourage Brothers to watch...
Are they making Scottish Rite Masons this way now, virtually? As in you don't need to at least go to a reunion over a weekend, just log on?

This popped up on my news feed this morning. Has anyone else seen the NMJ is doing a Virtual Reunion to join the Scottish Rite?

I did watch the YouTube commentary and read the book and watched the show, well, most of the first episode, all I could stomach anyway. You are correct, the book was a normal Dan Brown page turner. But that's why we keep buying his books. We know what they are and we like them. He wouldn't...
It actually doesn't cost anything to sign up for Peacock TV. I am guessing Brother Edward never read the book the show is based on or he wouldn't be singing its praises. It sound like Peacock paid him for his endorsements they way he's been going on. The TV show actually removed most of the...
The TV adaptation of Dan Brown's best selling 2010 novel "The Lost Symbol" airs the first episode tomorrow, Thursday 9/16/21 on Peacock TV.
Famed Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon answers an unexpected summons to appear at the U.S. Capitol Building. His plans are interrupted when a...
I love PSR and have used that site for pretty much the entirely of my 23 years in the Craft. It is a wonderful repository of information.

I agree, it doesn't look like what we think of as a chisel today but I think it does look closer to some of the ancient chisels that have been found, particularly Roman.
Congratulations Brother. FC has always been my favorite degree. It has, in my opinion, the deepest symbolism and opportunities to study and learn. Likely because until relatively recently, it was the highest degree a Brother attained with the MM and all the appendant degrees being added later.
