I'm amazed, given our charges, how often abandoning them has come up in the past few months. I seem to almost hear it more among masons than others, which is even more disturbing.
I do not wish to abandon my sworn oath and do not avocate doing so. But for the sake of debate...at what point...
heard this morning that they want to place a cookie on your computer to track what websites you use.
Am I just getting paranoid, or is there something really going on here I need to be concerned with?
I would also like to ask, There is a line in the FC charge: to be a good citizen and...
"I would like to see everyone's papers please. Please line up against the wall over here any one who refuses could be rounded up and sent to a democratic re-education camp."
We are on a seriously slippery slope. Germany should remember what this feels like and should be warning the American...
My Mother has decided that she would like to be able to say she has visited all 50 states. This will be accomplished once she visits Alaska, which she will be doing here, very soon. My question is...if she should run into a problem, and require some assistance, is there anyone from a lodge up...
I met some brothers this weekend at the Warden's Retreat. Bro. Josh and everybody were great and as enthusiastic as I am on the future of Freemasonry. I hope to meet more brothers from the forum and grow the freindships made this weekend!
I was just thinking that if we could let brothers know what we do for careers, then this would also help the lodge. Now bear in mind I am not talking about a brother coming in and soliciting. Just the opposite, we would not be allowed to contact brothers to increase our business connections...

This may be a law question, but is it possible to allow masons to state what they do for a living; say in the lodges phone book? My point is, if I can give business to a brother I would. I am not taking about the abuse that could be, from something like this, but the benefit.
I heard some...

The most surprising thing I learned on this segment of the program is that everything in Masonry seems divisible by 3. Faith, Hope and Charity; EA, FC and MM are but examples. At each stage on must learn what is being taught at each level or the meaning will be lost. What does it mean to...
Buzz Aldren dropped a charter on the moon (From what I've been told) He and some guys in the control room here in Houston went on a secured channel and offically opened a lodge and then called it from labor etc...(This is second hand second hand information, so please do not kill the...
I am a member. They meet 4 times a year around the state. I have an application I could send (PDF) to you, if you would send me a scan of your DL and Dues card. (because I haven't met you in person, I don't think)
There was a person who had a link to a guy who made custom aporns, that were replicas of the 1700 style. I can't remember if it was here or another site, but I am trying to find that link again. It's killing me that I can't remember the name or location.
Any help would be appreciated!

The biggest surprise was how the religious aspects of the 4th through the 14th degrees, related to the three branches of our government. The statements regarding an “Independent Judiciary” really struck a tone with me. It made me really think about how our Supreme Court is elected...
