I get asked a lot about Freemasonry and came up with a single sentence:
Freemasonry is a philosophical system for good moral conduct that brings diverse men together.
What do you think ?

I hear you. It is sad how much energy Freemasons have to waste on trying to correct the damaging "wisdom" of some of our decision makers. It is one of the few things in life which make me angry.
I think Bro Cook as covered off the Rank thing.. but I would like to add another comment, from the view we do indeed have "masonic ranks", Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master Mason being three most of us have. (And I like the idea I hold all three).
