It's not too bad really. The previous minutes are kept in a folder by the sign in book. Pretty much takes care of itself and only takes about 30 seconds to motion/second/vote and the minutes are done, hah. Plus for us, a hard copy is required by GL to be kept so it can't be entirely digital. I...
my lodge regularly passes the printed minutes for the previous month around for all members to read and sign (prior to opening) that they have read and approve them. then during the stated, a motion is made to dispense with the reading and enter them as approved since all members have already...
All pretty sharp. Not a fan of #3, by that's just because I don't like lettering on rings. Oh just a quick detail, on #2, that's also a level, not pillars, just looks different. ;)

Honestly, I've not seen hardly any books aimed at non-masons or for those who have not yet attained the degrees discussed. Considering that most discussion about the topics would likely make little sense at best or at worst do more to "spoil" the degrees than anything else, I can see why not...
I take it the OP meant DG &/or PS (but I got the gist)... and no, I would not return it. The S, DG &/or PS is not meant as a mode of recognition (unless you're talking examination, hah).
Oddly enough it doesn't say that Masons funded the airport. Just that there is a standard "cap"/cornerstone naming the funding group and usual names of the masons who laid it looks like. Freemasonry involvement beyond that is a gross assumption on his part. (By the show's own admittance, the...
Watched the show America Declassified last night. Given, this show is ALL about conspiracy theory so it's no surprise that there is some guy espousing Anti-Freemasonry in the episode. Still, it's a bit disappointing to see Travel Channel going the way of History Channel. Maybe it's been that way...
Hmm, I'm not sure how it works if you are not a citizen of the country you are in. I believe there are plenty of Masonic Lodges in Perth, however that you could visit as a non-member I would think. Maybe they can give you some direction.
Not to resurrect such an old thread, but thought I'd post up a pic of my new headpiece from Peters Brothers. I'm not the WM, but I do enough degree conferrals now and work in the Council that I want my own hat (I'm weird about wearing someone else's hat). Does anyone know if there is a ruling in...
I hear you, I was the same prior to joining. If you do end up petitioning and being accepted, rest assured that there is much to learn, study and contemplate that will keep an active mind engaged for a lifetime. Good luck.
I like to think of it as "further" knowledge rather than "higher". We have the same picture in my lodge. To me it is misleading. You should consider the drawing accurate in the sense that the York Rite and Scottish Rite *build upon* the Masters Degree, but not in the sense that it is above it.
