A fair point. Frustration is usually a two-way street.

I had no idea anyone from here was going to be out there and would have loved to have met some folks. I was the poor sap responsible for Mansfield #331's entry into the BBQ contest. I got there yesterday at 7pm and cooked all night. I just got home from there actually. I've been awake now for...

I'll be honest in that I don't understand the term "defending your light" and quite frankly, it's a phrase that bothers me a little on its face. I am very curious to understand what it means, but in an organization where we are tasked with always seeking and spreading light, being required to...

My lodge could definitely use the $60K in the kitty a lot more than they can the nothing we've seen the last 3 years...

You have Masonry at your lodge? That's swell!

I have a few questions regarding this publication. 1. What Committee is responsible for its content? 2. By what authority does it even exist? 3. Is there a single reference to it in any Resolution or Edict issued by the GLofTX? I am utterly confused as to why this document is published...

My lodge focuses on building its reputation as a lodge known for well executed ritual work. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Governor in Texas is a puppet on a string. In this state, the Lieutenant Governor holds the power.

To add another thought on this, I looked at the last 10 years of returns on roughly $60,000 worth of endowment units. We've averaged about $1500 a year, when we've gotten money, and that's been for around 6-7 years when there was a return. $60K invested in a moderate bond with a guaranteed...

I asked for prayers and donations for this brother tonight at our Stated Meeting in Mansfield.

That's how I read it also Rhit. Like a lot of Grand Lodge Law, I am quickly discovering it is not very solid when it comes to covering all bases.

I have my letter to be at the Temple in Ft Worth tonight for all of the York Rite degrees, but unfortunately I am moving today and tomorrow and I simply can't attend because of time restraints. Don't know if I've been more bummed about anything in a long time as I am this...

Maybe people are tired of the Them vs Us spirit that Grand Lodge has created...

Not a very flattering pic of me Rhit, but glad there is proof in the world that I was there. I'm the fat kid in the blue polo and shorts. This was an awesome event, and I would heavily encourage anyone who can make to it a PHA Open event to do so. The Grand Lodge may be able to stop me from...

I don't wish to argue either, Brother. Only to educate and learn where possible. I personally think Wicca falls into an unusual gray area that is really up to the individual Wiccan. Wicca is not your typical religion, as it allows for its followers to seek their own path. There are those that...

You don't know Wicca as well as you think. Taken from here. "The All" or "The One" certainly sound like a Supreme Being to me. Before you argue, consider the Triune nature of the Christian God wherein we find the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is yet worshiped and recognized as...

I see there are 6 Wiccans in this thread. Help please, PM if you prefer. I just wrote a paper on the cardinal virtue of justice from a Masonic perspective, and I referenced the Holy Books of several religions as well. Frustratingly, I had an extremely difficult time trying to find much of...

Other than the cipher, yes. All of those are priorities, deciding which one is on top is an interesting question. I'll take them through the prioritization process before I vote, and then post my thoughts.

Yup, did some quick Googling and found it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU54UguUXgM It's the Grand Lodge of Japan's Blue Lodge Room. Very beautiful I might add.

That picture is of a regular lodge in Tokyo if my memory serves correctly. I've seen it before as a regular lodge, I just can't precisely recall where.
