    Looking for Myanmar Lodge

As far as I know, there are no Regular Lodges operating there since Burma banned Freemasonry in 1984. A quick search did not turn up any changes to this. If you want to join Freemasonry, you will need to move to country that permits it.

    Making Good Men Better

I just received my latest edition of Philalathes, Vol. 74, No. 1, and it had a review for short book that looks interesting. It's only $7.99 on Amazon so I grabbed it. Apparently it is a 52 week personal growth plan for Freemasons. Color me intrigued...

    "Tavole Architettoniche"

Couldn't agree more. There is a much better opportunity for learning through discussion instead of passively listening. I've even been in Lodges where they go around the room with each person reading a few sentences of an article like we're in primary school. lol

Is the end really near for freemasonry ?

Don't take this the wrong way, but I see open houses put on by Lodges who are struggling with membership as the worst possible decision. Unless you fix the problem that is causing your Lodge members to leave you will just be initiating a new crop of members who will become dissatisfied and...

Is the end really near for freemasonry ?

The officers need to sit down and have a frank discussion. Look realistically at what you are offering and why it is not working to keep members returning. Maybe start with an anonymous survey. Ask current and former members why they stopped coming to Lodge and what they would come back for...

Is the end really near for freemasonry ?

Seems like that is a good practice. Why wouldn't you want the GL to take possession of a building instead of a bank when the Lodge is no longer able to continue functioning? As for your losing your building, I am sure it is quite nice. But it is obviously not as important as the Brothers that...

Is the end really near for freemasonry ?

You are absolutely correct, Brother Glen. I was making generalizations and I know better. As Mark Twain said, "All generalizations are false, including this one." But I agree, the US does have this perverse fixation that a Lodge must own a building. No matter how many resources that building...

Is the end really near for freemasonry ?

Take what your Past Masters say with a grain of salt. Most of us are pretty jaded. LoL. As for Freemasonry coming to an end in 20 years, or even 100? No. That is not happening. The Craft will survive. We may need to do some more creative adapting to a changing world to remain relevant...

    Hello from Italy

Welcome to the forum. Grand Orient of Italy is in one of those grey areas. Regular but Unrecognized. Unless that's changed. Good luck in Dubai. No Lodges there. UAE isn't a friend of the Craft. Though what the actual climate is, I couldn't say. I have heard everything from "they don't really...

    Lodge seek

This is just a Wikipedia entry, not a Masonic site. I am unsure what Lodge there would be one to recommend and strongly suggest you research them. I only linked this page so you could see what might be available to you there. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

Masonic Lodge in Punta Cana, DR

Plenty of regalia suppliers will ship to DR I am sure. If you are using the American Blue Lodge ritual and regalia I suggest J.P. Lauterer. One of my Lodges gets all their supplies from them. https://www.lauterer.com/masonicbuyersguide.aspx

    Lodge seek

As much as I hate linking to Wikipedia because of how easy it is for erroneous information to creep in, it gives a pretty decent overview of the situation there regarding regular lodges. It might help you find one close to you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry_in_Lebanon

    Widows sons in Texas

It's been a while so I had to refresh myself on the situation. Some good info on it here. Especially in the comments. http://freemasonsfordummies.blogspot.com/2011/01/grand-master-of-texas-edict-widows-sons.html

Hmmm. If that was UT then I can't remember what the issue TX had with them. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

How a Special Diet Kept the Knights Templar Fighting Fit

Interesting article posted today by the Rocky Mountain Mason from Atlas Obscura. Everything old is new again. The dietary regulations from the Primitive Rule could have been written by my doctor! I realize this isn't technically Freemasonry related any more than most subjects related to the...
