    Passing of Bro. John Hester

R.I.P. We do well to remember our brothers who travel to that undiscovered country. They continue to lead the way for us to ultimate light. God rest them all and bless their families at such times of despair.

    Must-see Lodges

Anyone been to Guthrie, OK? I've heard Guthrie and St. Louis have a few of the best Scottish Rite temples in the country.

    Help with Time.

I agree with the brethren above. Understand, your situation will change over the years. Children grow, job responsibilities change. Go when you can and keep in contact with as many of the brothers as you can. Everyone understands and most have gone through the same situation at one time or...

Turn my FC work in on the 15th...then masters ceremony to follow...

Very sound advice. Stick close to the Blue Lodge, run a few chairs, teach a few new students (you owe it now.) If you rush, you may rush yourself through and miss most of the growth each affiliation offers. Relax, you'll never learn it all. But enjoy the trip and don't get lazy. Steady as she...

The Book of Fate by Brad Meltzer

It's definitely a shallow show. Caught a few notes on a channel surf a few weeks ago. I guess it was a slow night for wrestling and the preachers. I made it all the way to Cheaters before settling in on something meaningful. Gotta go, Orson Wells is talking about something going on up in...

Masonic Etiquette, Masonic Laws, Recognition, and "certainly friendly grip"

Agreed! In fact, such flamboyance is cautioned in each of the three degree obligations.

Is there a Texas Recognized Lodge in Antigua?

Fire back if you get anything. This is a very good question. I think roots interest me more than most historical topics, especially in the Americas.

Is there a Texas Recognized Lodge in Antigua?

I wouldn't bet against the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania having a tie to Antigua. Pennsylvania was very active in the islands. Even in Louisiana during Andrew Jackson's time. I'd love to explore their GL library.

Dual/plural memberships. Should Masons be able to join multiple lodges?

Thanks brother Stewart. Very good information to know. Both sides of my heritage were active in masonry in Louisiana since late 18th century immigrations from Prussia and Alsace Lorraine (Germany in those days.) I'd love to add my name to that heritage. Masonry is a beautiful thing...

    Official DDGM Visit

Scores are now in for District 30-D. Cypress Lodge 1423 led the way with an 86. Considerable improvement over last year. I've enjoyed this year's DDGM tour. Three DDGMs from Northwest Lodge are servicing this year. Does anyone know of any other lodge having that many DDGMs among its ranking...
