    King James Version and freemason

Oppression is a valuable tool in the hands of the oppressed. Two years after Louis XIV revoked the Edict of Nantes, thus reversing religious liberty for French Protestants John D. Desaguliers, Huguenot clergyman, immigrated to London. John's young son John Theophilus Desaguliers became one...

    Grand Lodge of Texas Codebook

Was it the GL of Oklahoma who reported $600K from the sale of official code books a few years back at Grand Lodge? I'd be for limited use among MMs for study and certification purposes. Not for teaching and sharing with EAs and FCs. Rules of usage would need to be established.

    King James Version and freemason

Okay brethren, What famous mason played a significant roll in the publication of the King James Version of the Holy Bible? What was his roll? Any other masons involved in the effort?

Have you read the entire Bible?

Gentlemen, I suppose we are all aware that the KJV was edited by a brother mason. I think I'll throw a poll at you to test your skills.

Have you read the entire Bible?

I've been all over it. And, with the help of Cecil B. DeMille, Charlton Heston, Yul Brenner, Mel Brooks and others, I suspect I've covered 98 percent. Spend a lot of time in Sunday School in the old days. Have also delved into other sacred texts as well. My commit would be that yes, the King...

    2011 Esoteric Certifications (GLoTX)

What the heck is this? Brother Stewart, you forgot those of us who fully intend to certify this year. That is, of course, if I can get someone to teach me the 4th lodge opening and closing. I hear it all too often once each year just prior to and shortly after installations.

Shriners, Scottish Rite or York Rite

I can't commit on the York Rite as I haven't dabbled to date. I do see the valued work done by the Shrine and do lend a hand in the fun raising activities. But my heart is indeed in the Scottish Rite. These are my interests and this is my home away from (blue lodge) home.

    New FC

I know you're traveling at light speed at the moment brother. But BE DAMN SURE you pause as soon as possible after becoming a master mason and think. Don't worry, you'll know when you are thinking ... that's the time you'll go back and learn what this FC degree is all about. Hey, if you...

    Secrecy

There's no time like the present to introduce that first, and most convincing, "NO." Every good and healthy relationship learns to adjust and move forward. The fact that the first don't tread on my personal space has to deal with one's obligation to freemasonry matters little. Trust, like...
