    Poll: Masonic Member Retention

Politics and inertia aside are those of us who could, and should, provide more light just to damn busy with other masonic obligations to make these lodges "rock/" Let the power players play on, let us "island hop" the inert, let us start providing those programs that folks really joined...

The Shrine has now been "de-recognized" in Arkansas

Brother Martin is correct. Sounds like a little "swallowing of the camel" when a simple natt would have done.

    My Concerns regarding Masonry

Belief in deity, your choice, and your immortal soul is a prerequisite to freemasonry. A good healthy dose of "The Golden Rule" is a tenant we subscribe to. We're not in the business of telling a man what to believe in ... but we demand that he believe in the aforementioned requirements...

    In need of light!

You'll find the key brother. And, might I say, your light is beaming at this moment. God bless

    In need of light!

I didn't have this brother's shoes on. Not sure which problem came first. But I once went through a lost marriage and good job at the same time. I can tell you, however, those shoes of mine were very hard to wear. And, I got a pretty good idea what our duty as brother masons is during...

    My First Meeting

I believe the true mark of one who holds the seat in the East is the good sense to vacate the chair when it comes time. Not sure if Brother George Washington said it in so many words, but we should have all gotten the drift. :sneaky2: I d i g that mullet ... spend any time in the NHL?

    Endowed Memberships

This is common place at both my lodges. It should be the rule, not the exception among all masonic lodges that understand their responsibilities to fellow brethren. Simply put brethren, we are here to help one another. Many of us so positioned include endowed memberships as a way to help...

    Endowed Memberships

That's tough skidding brother. Tough indeed. I bought an endowed membership but continue to pay full dues to the lodge. I was a little surprised to find out that many brothers still holding paying jobs aren't doing the same. I plan to do the same with my second lodge. Can anyone out there...

    funny freemason rumors

Well ... I guess everyone didn't have a chance to coach in the Nittany Valley.

    funny freemason rumors

Hope it ends up being a short war. I'm pretty much drained with all the occupations and nation building of late.

    Brother Richard Dreyfuss

Can't say for sure ... But I think the first reaction of the brothers at my lodge was to chunk rocks when I showed up the first time. Good thing there isn't a major league arm among the lot! I'd be pretty hard to run off now that I have a key. I mean, clue!

    What does the "Beehive" symbolize?

Brother Cigarzan ... there's much wisdom in your tag on spur squatting. :39: Then again, there appears to be much wisdom in most of your responses. Suppose they go hand in hand there brother. God bless.

People Of Walmart (Sexy And I Know It - LMFAO)

Sometimes I wonder whether or not class warfare is worth all the fuss. Other times I just wander. :001_unsure:

    What does the "Beehive" symbolize?

Agreed! Blank stares are discouraging and leave little to discuss and share.

    Blue Lodge Dues

I took brother Martin's post is a somewhat different light. Though it is a shame that fundraisers, for a lack of a better term, have to be done to pay such costs as new AC units, carpet, et al, it should be noted that the same few members of the lodge always end up carrying the burden...
