    Masons and sailboats

Yeah brother, they are great. However, if you're ever sold one, you might not be able to afford the horse shoes. Know what they say: the best two days of a man's life are the day he bought that boat and the day he sold that damn boat. :15:

    Tranquility Lodge No. 2000

Ghee brethren! Don't know why Bro. Bill would question the move ... he's only got a couple of hundred left to join. I say the more the better. Just don't miss A N Y meetings. I hear they've got some real cool aprons. HA! My wife still thinks there are only 30-31 days in a...

    Assisting the WM

Our Marshall is a Certified Public Accountant and comes in quite handy about this time of year. Keeps us straight with GLoTx. Just a thought. Now we're looking for another very good certified plumber. They, too, are quite handy to have about the lodge. :sneaky2:

    Tranquility Lodge No. 2000

I'm too considering joining the ranks. Come on Cigarzan ... it don't look so deep with blinders on! How 'bout you Brother Billy boy? U N? We might even be able to ride up together. Isn't the Grand Lodge of Louisiana in Alexandria? I once worked at the Daily Town Talk but never...

"So give Old Corky some support and visit the site."Cog41 I did better than that. I attended the Waller Lodge No. 808 installation last Saturday evening and looked ole Corky up for some serious guidance on a topic that came up my first stated meeting in the East. I had met him before but was...

    My First Meeting

Right Worshipful, congratulations on your new post. Be sure to get as much sleep as possible and take those vitamins! Say, was that wise council ... WHISPERED ... in your ear. Or, did it come as so often the case. Good to know though: very good to find out early.:blushing:

They do possess B O D Y. And, apparently, meet the "carry all" definition. Man-O-Man ... "somebody's darlin' and pride." (Hank Williams, Sr.) :17:

    My Concerns regarding Masonry

Sounds like Brother Porter read his last book! He's got a nose for that sort of thing you know. :sneaky2:

    God and Christ

Agreed! Agreed! Dogma is a terrible thing to perpetrate! Why do we continue to make the same mistakes and keep ourselves apart?

    God and Christ

"Is Jesus a Prophet to spread the word, or God in Flesh? What are your beliefs?" Incoming! I hope the server can handle this load Brother Blake ... I truly do. You ole :sneaky2:'y brother. :40: Any Rosicrucians in the crowd? With of course, a good dose of deism somewhere in the mix?

One thing I've learned about being W.M.

This is my first of two straight years in the East at different lodges. Support is required. Leadership is essential. Getting out of the way when talent rises is just good sense! Ghee guys ... I'm sure to fail.

I'll miss that smile! This brother truly made a difference. God bless his family.

    So they ever come back?

Surprisingly, two! Both from other lodges and both in the past three to five months. However, I think that is a "outlier" on the chart. Can't think of another incident at this time. Tough ... but true.

    Addressing the Issues

Nothing is black and white. There are many avenues of grey. Let's all put the energy in solving the issues. Fingers don't usually lead to heavy lifting. Everyone must play their part. This, brothers, is the issue of our times.

The Shrine has now been "de-recognized" in Arkansas

Yes brethren. I do find it most "unmasonic" to badger, nay, bully, folks in the lodge. Pride and Prejudice is more than an apt term for a movie. There is hope for the future if such fine young men as yourself have already learned the the bitter distaste of such common language. You are...
