This is purely out in left field, but I like the idea of being a member of only ONE lodge, your home lodge and able to be a "patron" of other lodges. Pretty much the same thing allowing you vote and all the other rights, but kinda reinforces...

Well that depends on how you look at it. Short answer is that "Knight Templar" is the ultimate degree if the York Rite. However, the 30th degree in the Scottish Rite (Knight Kadosh) is essentially its own form of "Knight of the Temple" as well. That could be what you are hearing.

It's for more than just your browser but yeah. You typically point an application to route it's traffic through Tor.
Think of it like data laundering. But not all types of network traffic will utilize Tor.

Honestly I say no. Tor's main purpose is anonymity, but it has been shown that although it makes it very difficult to trace the information, it isn't impossible.
