Who's post are you replying to? I am guessing it is the original post by Bloke because it has the word men in it? For many mainstream Masons we cannot acknowledge co-Masonry as legitimate so we can only promote Freemasonry for men.
I wonder if he wasn't trying to force an official GL stance with holding the trial there instead of his home lodge. Or maybe he thought he was getting a fairer hearing there.

We don't know where you are. Every jurisdiction will have material unique to that Grand Lodge. I personally think this needs to be a discussion to have with the WM you will potentially be serving under instead of here. You will get much more relevant information to help you.
