Yes to both. Men have worn both to larger Masonic events such as the Alamo. Also, I have sat in lodge with men that have worn either Apron at a regular stated meeting.

As a follow-up to this, the event was very well put together. WM Greg Wright and his line-up did an excellent job in putting together an impressive and well organized program. Some years when we walk from the SR Cathedral to the Alamo, it is more of a gaggle, this time it really made an impact...
Got an e-mail four days ago, for those that don't know the Order of St. Thomas of Acon that was mentioned earlier is an invitational Christian order within Freemasonry. This order does have the rule that a man has to be a member of a recognized encampment in order to receive the degree.

I have always found New Mexico brethren to upright and straight. I am starting to go to New Mexico more now, and visited Mesa Lodge #68 in 2008 and was impressed by the quality of men there. I keep going on odd weeks when no lodges meet, but will strive further to sit in lodge with them again...

Finding the credibility of the author is a great way to get a better feel for the subject. Sometimes men will write to simply write, and others will write for scandal, while some still write to spread further light.
Getting a firm understanding of the source sometimes is just as critical as...
If you are planning on attending this and would like to meet up, please PM me and I will be happy to set something up. It will be really neat to sit in the Alamo again!

Where's the love? ;) I am the one that sent it to him.
Seriously, the ripple of this may be worse than it appears on the surface. Specifically to some of the invitational aspects of Christian Freemasonry.

Thank you for sharing the link, I find that Freemasonry literature from the 1900s - 1920s to be some of the most well thought out and well written in our American history.

If you are in the area, consider going to this event, it is well worth the time. Opening a Master Masons lodge in the Alamo is a sight to behold!
