The Fellow Craft lecture, like that of the EA and Master's, provides a basic explanation of some of the symbols of Freemasonry. I believe the lectures are designed to excite one's curiosity, and urge the new Mason to pursue a deeper study of the Craft.
Why would the authors of the lectures...
According to Wikipedia (I know; I should go to a real source.): "Feminism refers to movements aimed at establishing and defending equal political, economic, and social rights and equal opportunities for women."
I guess that makes me a feminist, Bro. Heirophant. Will you start delivering...
I have given this a lot of thought, and while I agree with the spirit of the resolution, I don't think the constitution needs to be amended.
It seems to me that as overt racism declines in American society, it is becoming more rare in Texas Masonry. I haven't heard a Mason use the "n" word in...
It is my understanding that Sikhs never wear any headgear on top of their turbans. If a Sikh Mason were to be elected Master of a Texas Lodge, I would hope that the Grand Master would grant dispensation for him to preside wearing his turban only.
I don't believe that using a cipher book nor shortening the proficiency "cheapens" Masonry. Rote memorization of questions and answers is not Masonic education.

I. Concerning GOD and RELIGION . . . But though in ancient...
I view the Furniture of the Lodge as symbolic. The Holy Bible (like the Square and Compasses) is a symbol of what I hold to be true. My truth may not be based on the "Holy Scriptures" of any religion, but rather based on conclusions drawn from a lifetime of study.
As the Law currently stands...
Don't know much about modern day RC orders, but I'm currently reading "The Rosicrucian Enlightenment" by Frances Yates.

I highly recommend it.
Sponsoring a team could open a nasty can of worms.
Picture this: Umpire makes a bad call, resulting in a bleacher-clearing donnybrook. Video is broadcast on local TV (and posted on YouTube.) Zoom to cursing child throwing a sucker punch. His uniform reads: "Billy Goat Lodge #1776. Making Good...
A number of years ago, I tried to slog my way through the King James Version. The 400 year old English is pretty, but rather difficult for me to follow.
I did some research on later English translations, and chose for my Old Testament: The Jewish Study Bible...
