Well, tonight's the night! I am getting initiated into Gonzales Chapter #403 at 6:30 this evening. :cool:

I was very surprised to get a suggestion to be his friend on FB..... I had no idea that he had an account until early yesterday morning. I'm very glad to see him on there. Maybe with any luck he'll find time to join the forums. :D

You will find that most Fraternal Organizations are patterned after the Masonic Lodge. I know the Elk's Lodge obligation is so similar to our MM obligation that it's almost scary.

Unless I have totally missed something..... There is nothing in the Grand Lodge of Texas Law Book that says that a person has to be a Master Mason to serve on a Blue Lodge Committee..... Someone please correct me if I am wrong about that......

Guys, there is really no cost to Grand Lodge at all..... All the State requires is a deposit. After the required number of plates has been sold you get the entire deposit refunded. It's a win-win situation.
