Dual/plural memberships. Should Masons be able to join multiple lodges?

I'm all for plural membership. I was raised last month and plan on joining another lodge shortly.

    Women Freemasons

If you're a jerk then so am I. I am not in favor of this. I joined Masonry for a variety of reasons, one being that it is a fraternity. If women were to be admitted to the lodge then I would demit.

    Wearing the Bling

    Very well said sir.

    Wearing the Bling

I believe that you should have to earn the right to "wear the bling" by doing everything required to be, and then raised to, a Master Mason.

How to wear the masonic apron?

Here in Kentucky we are taught to wear it outside of the coat.

Shriners, Scottish Rite or York Rite

York Rite for me. I'm a new MM and am in the process of joining the YR.

    Origins of Masonry?

    Very good point!

That's the way it is in my lodge.

    One black ball?

I agree. We have the one ball system in Kentucky and it has, and still does, work just fine.

    Concordant Recognition

    Sounds like a good plan.

The OTHER What not to say.

I know what you mean. I'm a fairly new MM and no one has enlightened me on any of these things.....But wait, I forget that you have to be a "high ranking" Mason to know these things. Therefore, I think that you have been clued in but are withholding the info. lol

    Concordant Recognition

I'm joining the York Rite and this is an interesting question for me also.

    De Facto Hierarchy

I agree. It does not seem that anyone is looked at as a lesser Mason because they did not join an appendant body in my lodge or any that I have visited. Some brothers never go beyond the MM degree and they are respected for the quality of their character and the things that they have done for...

    Freemasonry Stereotypes from non brothers

    Lol, that's how it seems.

    Shriner and Lucifer

That was a good article. I went to one of the sites mentioned in the article and saw guys with crosses and banners picketing Masonic lodges saying that we were satanists. Supposedly some of these people were in my state. If I was to see these people in front of my lodge instead of getting angry...

Weird orders & rituals under Freemasonry?

Good info to be aware of. Thank you.

Weird orders & rituals under Freemasonry?

I'm a new MM and in the process of joining the York Rite and I did not know that the YR was created in the U.S. Thanks for the heads up.

    Freemasonry Stereotypes from non brothers

One point that you made that jumped out at me was "I remember that a big part of fundamentalism is that Christians aren't supposed to fellowship with unbelievers". To me this jives with my take on this. Almost all of the articles that I have read where Christians rebuke Masonry has to do with...
