GLI tonight!

Our yearly assessment happens tonight. It is when all the ritual instructors from the state descend on our district to evaluate our performance. It is being held at my home lodge so at least I will be "home" for the evening.

The most impressive part of the evening is the Grand Marshall announcing every name from memory. This goes on for at least 40 minutes.

It went pretty good. Lots of stage fright though.

I am sorry I was not more specific in my original post. We had our yearly Grand Lodge of Instruction. We have monthly rehearsals with out district ritual instructor and district deputy grand master for the purpose of exemplifying the work of New Jersey. We then are visited by the grand lodge of instruction to perform what we were instructed to rehearse. As a side note: Our work is standardized across the state. You will not find variations of the work from one lodge to the next here.

As far as introductions go, we seemed a bit light in attendance from the different districts. The introductions took roughly 15 minutes. Still an impressive feet though. He looks at a group of people of whom he is about to introduce, turns his back towards them and introduces them. He moves to the next section and repeats. To me, it is the most impressive part of the evening.
