Thanks @Brother_Steve! I plan to enjoy it when the time comes as I have enjoyed it this far. Yes I will be going through alone.I hope your AC is up to the task!
Good luck and enjoy yourself!
Are you going through alone?
Thanks brother @mrpierce17!Congratulations on your second step my brother hang on in there we will have you Upright in no time...
Thank you so much for that great advice @hanzosbm I appreciate it so much for taking the time to stress that to me! Though "getting through" was not my intention, your words motivate me to want the education and understanding more than I already want it now! Thank you again!Congratulations, brother. This is an exciting time for you and one that I wish I could go back and relive.
If I may add a word of caution though; enjoy your travels. While I might be reading the context incorrectly, I personally don't see the degrees as something to 'get through'. It is in the study of them that we gain Light. Think on it as any other course of study like, oh I don't know, let's say mathematics.
Let's say that you wanted an education in mathematics from a school that offered it in three classes; algebra, geometry, and calculus. The night of your degree you were given a text book and the summary on the back cover was read to you. You were then told that when you felt ready, you could take a test asking you to summarize the text. If you do so successfully, you will then be given your geometry textbook. Here, you have two options. You can memorize the summary on the back cover of your text book, test, and then do it all over again, ultimately achieving a certificate of completion, or, you can read the book cover to cover, multiple times, and ponder the meaning of the equations and gain a full understanding of the coursework. There is nothing wrong with either path and Masonry affords both, but if you truly want the education and the understanding, these degrees are to be enjoyed as the destination rather than be seen as an obstacle to get through.
I only say this because I went down the first path and 'got through' the degrees to become a MM. It wasn't until after that I looked back and realized I wanted the education. The problem is that no one can pick up a calculus book and read it with understanding without a mastery of algebra and geometry, so I was back at the beginning except worse. I now had the summary of all three in my mind and am finding it difficult to truly focus on the lecture at hand and to shut off the additional knowledge that I have.
Again, it's your journey, travel your path as you see fit. But I don't think I would be acting as your brother if I didn't at least warn you of the missteps I have taken.
Thanks brother! I got my eye on a nice pair!Congrats Brother!!!!... You're going to need some good shades for all the Light approaching your way for the rest of your life!!!
