Lodge fundraising?

What are you doing as a lodge for fundraising for the general fund? Raffles for guns or other items are great money makers, but here in Texas, the proceeds must go to a charitable thing. We use those for scholarships and community service type things. I'm talking about what do you do to raise funds to pay bills, building maintenance, etc.....

In Tennessee, it is against the GL code to have fundraisers for general use. Dues must be set to cover all regular expenses. Fundraisers can be held to help with charity (scholarship, for example) or for a specific purpose (new carpet, bathroom renovation, etc.). Some smaller lodges don't always follow those guidelines, and nobody seems to get bent out of shape about it, but the code says you aren't supposed to.
