Any of you headin to Cowboy Lodge at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo tomorrow?

Here is the link:
http://www.cowboylodge.org

It is 10-12, but will need to be there early if you've never been before.

I think the Grand Master will be there, etc.

I'll be there with a pack of fellas, should be fun.

If you are in the Houston area it is good excuse to all wear our hats in the same place!

Thanks for sharing that link! It was nice to see a picture of Jimmie Thompson again! Jimmie was a member at Oak Forest when I was raised and I got to know him fairly well between 1997 and 2004. I miss his ready smile and hearty laugh. I'd heard about the Cowboy Lodge, but had never seen that website. Thanks for sharing!

I wish I had known about it sooner, just found out about it the day before from a Brother and as the lady and I were headed to the rodeo anyway today it was perfecto.

A couple of quick snapshots from the event - the first one with Most Worshipful Walter Rogers, our sitting Grand Master:

This one with Brother Adrian Garcia, Sheriff of Harris County (Houston and the surrounding area)

Don't think I've seen as many hats in one giant room in my life. I'll shoot the word out about the event a lot earlier next year!

Hmm - beats me, first I've heard of that. They didn't seem to be under any sort of air of controversy though, and the Grand Master had his cadre with him, 10 DDGMs or so and 5 or so GL officer types.

If some GM shut it down in the past, the current one obviously has no problem with it (and that is what is most important).
