Can a person be a member of PHA & PHO in the state of Georgia?

I'll be interested to see the answer to this. As far as I know, every PHA Grand Lodge considers PHO to be clandestine.
I believe that PHO & PHA originated from the same source, Prince Hall. If one is Clandestine, then so is the other one. Their rituals are nearly identical. Divide and conquer is the primary tool of the adversary. It is sad that good intention Brothers allowed the adversary to do this in the first place. There is strength in numbers. What the devil divided, the Grand Architect of the universe can restore. This is my hope and prayers.

Seems like every few years we get someone joining this forum trying to make an argument that PHA shouldn't be irregular/clandestine.

That isn't what determines regularity.

Also not the issue with PHO.

No need to attribute actions to the devil that were clearly taken by men and their ego.

I think the first question is whether MWGL of Georgia PHA permits dual affiliation. They might call it multiple affiliation. I could not find any reference on their web site.

Most PHA juridictions are what are usually called single affiliation. They only allow a Brother to be a member of one Grand Jurisdiction. When I searched for rules about cross membership, the recognition compact suggests that MWGL of Georgia PHA is a single affiliation jurisdiction. Since I could not find their rules on line, this is an educated guess on my part.

Some PHA jurisdictions allow affiliate membership to get around their more general limitations. I know that PHA Texas used to. I don't know if PHA Georgia does. I have no idea if they do offer affliate membership, but that's the most likely term they would use. Ask if a PHO Brother can become an affiliate member.

The second question is whether PHA and PHO in Georgia recognize each other. When I searched for that topic, our forum here ended up one of the responses! It does not appear that any PHA jurisdiction recognizes any PHO jurisdiction and vice versa.

Huh. Had I addressed those two variations in the other order, I would not have gotten to wondering about affiliate membership.

Tentative answer - No. Degree of certainty - Roughly 90 percent as of 2026.
