    Brother inventors

I have an idea for a camping product but I need some help. Are there any Brothers out there that are entropeneurs or inventors? Looking to my brothers for someone I can trust.

    The future of Freemasonry???

I agree that there are probably many things we can do to adapt to the times. It is very important though not to compromise who and what Freemasonry is while doing so. Unfortunately, I feel like in many cases, we have done just that. I love and respect my Brother Masons greatly and it hurts my...

    The future of Freemasonry???

What ever happened to 2B1ASK1? Are we Brothers not the first line of defense against the wrong people becoming involved with our Fraternity? I mean, I have been approached by people that couldn't pay me to sign their petition but, an investigation committee would probably pass. I am all for...

    The future of Freemasonry???

What would an "open house" consist of? I am speaking more of the fundamentals for example dress codes, lodge room conduct, and work. I have been in some states that require that you only know the obligations in order to proceed to the next degree, and others that will take you from EA to MM in 6...

    Masons and sailboats

I sailed last weekend on a Voyage 440 catamaran based in the Kemah,Tx. We had a great time! The vessel was beautiful and the skipper was very accommodating and professional. If anyone is interested in chartering this vessel, contact me and I'll pass on his contact info. Yep, sold on a cat. This...

    The future of Freemasonry???

What do you think about Freemasonry "Reformation"? Should we change Freemasonry to gain membership or should Freemasonry in its purest forms change its members? Please, understand that this is in regard to the fundamentals, works, and practices.

    In need of light!

UPDATE: I am saddened to report that after several attempts, I have been unsuccessful at contacting the brother referred to in this thread. I have called and text several times but have not been able to contact him to visit a lodge with me. I suppose I should have the same attitude that I was...

    In need of light!

First of all I want to extend my gratitude to the Brothers who have replied to this topic as well as those who will. JJones: I agree completely with your comments however, as we all know some times life throws a wrench in the works. Sometimes we fall and I as a fairly new Mason (raised in...

    In need of light!

I spoke to the Brother who taught me my EA work today on the phone. I was saddened to hear that he is suffering from apparent alchoholism and has been for quite some time. He has not been to lodge in a couple of years. His marital an employment situations have suffered as well. He told me he...

    Discovery Channel Programs

Is anyone else disturbed by these shows on tv about Freemasons? At first I shrugged it off but there are more and more new programs coming out. I watched one tonight that even claimed that it was " the first time that cameras were allowed in the lodge room" and proceeded to air an entire...

    Women Freemasons

I have actually seen that happen. I regret that it does. My girlfriend / fiancé is very respectful in this regard. She also is considering OES after we are married. I am blessed.

    Women Freemasons

Progressive change in some areas is great. With this I fervently agree. However, Freemasonry is the oldest FRATERNAL order in existence. "Fraternal" being the key word. Evolving to remain relevant is good. Changing the fundamentals of our organization is losing our identity. Call me a purist but...

    Masons and sailboats

Yeah it aggravates me sometimes that things that are just good clean fun are so expensive. Once you get over the initial investment it is inexpensive to continue. Very little fuel burnt.

    Masons and sailboats

I', still learning too but everything I'm told is that fundamentaly sailing is sailing but cats do have a certain amount of differences in the way they behave. I can tell you that they dont roll nearly as much as a monohull, very difficult to sink (respectively), they have much more room...

    Masons and sailboats

I am considering boats in the 35' to 40' range for now and stepping up to a 40' to 45' Catamaran later.
