    Grand Loge Nationale Francais

I am very pleased to share that I have just been present at the UGLE's Quarterly Communications where we voted on the proposition to once again recognise the GLNF. The vote was positive.

    Great Lodge of England.

Ohh I missed some! 1) As to the original poster's comment there is no organisational link between ANY of the three Grand Lodges operating within the United Kingdom and the Royal Family. ALSO 2) Neither the UGLE nor the GLoS have a person who is a "Patron of the Craft". Thye UGLE's charities...

    Great Lodge of England.

There are presently Three Royals on the Rolls of the Grand Lodge of England: The Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of Kent and Prince Michael of Kent. There have been some strange stories about the Duke of Edinburgh over the years but we were all very pleased when he celebrated the 60th...

    Not yet a Mason

If you're waiting for an interview that would suggest that you already have a Proposer to ask questions of, so you should do so. He should be able to point you to information that is relevant to the Freemasonry where you are and also your prospective Lodge.

    Lions Club

As Ryan says, look them up in your phone book and if there's one near you give them a call.

    Lions Club

Lions are an unrelated organisation to Freemasonry. However, it would be quite possible for someon to join both.

Do lodges REALLY need to have their own building?

As Glen mentions here in England it is incredibly rare for one Lodge to own their own building. It is more common for a group or groups of Lodges to have bought and now jointly own a building which they then often rent out to other users (including non/Masonic ones) in order to pay the bills...

    Grand Lodge Reguliere Francaise

That's why I thought he may be confusing the names but that isn't the case.

    Grand Lodge Reguliere Francaise

Yeah a BS, made up Grand Lodge.

    Grand Lodge Reguliere Francaise

Never heard of it until reading your post right now, so incredibly unlikely to be actually "regular". In fact I suspect you may be mixing up the name of it as I can't actually find a reference to any such Grand Lodge in France.

    Why not visitation?

I think you maybe should maybe consider that the laws of the Grand Lodge of Texas are not the same as those of the UGLE, and that some of us are well-versed in them. For instance: "Art. 379, Masons of Other Grand Jurisdictions: A Master Mason, in good standing, a member of a lodge under the...

    Why not visitation?

While this may be true of the other Grand Lodges it is not correct with regard to the UGLE or GLoI or GLoS as we all have a recognition restriction that states: 5. That the Grand Lodge shall have sovereign jurisdiction over the Lodges under its control; i.e. that it shall be a responsible...

Help me out with this members..

Initiation is when you first join a Lodge and become an Apprentice, when you are finally given the third degree that is described as raised.

    The Grand Orient of France

I did try to politely illustrate it earlier but maybe I was being too subtle. The GOdF is an irrelevance in the wider world of Freemasonry which is why it will ally itself with anyone who it thinks will help to increase its possible sphere of influence.
