148 has pretty much put together degree teams for all 3 degrees and it is much nicer knowing what part you play in the degree in advance so to properly prepare but we do recognize that almost ever Mason needs a chance at confering a degree so we are open to change. The cool thing about a degree...
Yes but Masons are shepards and if we are true to our trust these sheep will follow us and not them. Long ago we had that kind of respect but we will have to reearn it.
The Article is way to long but I will hit the points we need here. It details the decoration of an apron and leaves nothing to question.
Art 273 Officers: Regalia: Apron shall be 16 inches square with a drop in the bib of 6 inches to the triangular point. Only the bib shall have the jewel of...
Just seeing the pic makes me want to walk taller as a Mason, I could only imagine the power of actualy working in the Lodge. You have a great Lodge Brother Blake.
I think they should be if they are nice and presentable, many Lodges pillars are lacking to say the least and in my opinion the Lodge room would look alot nicer with them in the closet. I wish we all had beautiful pillars to display but with the price on those bad boys it might be awhile before...
I suspect Ft Worth Lodge 148 would be a bus as it carried Masonry all throughout Tarrant county being the oldest in the county and having 1900+ members at its peak we needed the room. Now in recent time I think the steering colum broke and then the break system failed and it was a doozy getting...
Not I said the fly, I reserve Masonic charges for the worst of offenses and you could come in shirt off, one shoe and a leg cut off of your blue jeans and I would care not but then again I am the guy who comes right from tee-ball practise wearing shorts and t-shirt to floor school. I would be...
Alot of Widows are taken care of by family and friends not all of them and we need to indentify the ones that are not but all of the widows I am sure would love a night out of dinner and fun. Maybe Bingo night at the Lodge with some awesome Senior prizes and a knock out dinner, tell them to...
Brother Hobie Wan Kanobi as we call him from Southside Lodge wore a Top hat, it is WM choice but I bet he got ribbed about it a time or 2. Some of us guys in 148 joke about wearing a sombrero, granted it is just a joke but I bet that would cause a stir!! lol :)
Go get em old Texan, I love to hear of Brothers making Masonry their own and improving it with some real inspiration. The funeral ceramony is one of the very few public ceramonies we perform and I applaude you for taking that on. Makes me want to go memorize something right now :) kudos Brother...
I only gave back the answers but it was easier for me to memorize with the questions, it seemed to flow better like a song with the questions in it, granted I did not have to give back all 3 sections when I went through.
It is still in the building stage. Our Lodge has gotten so busy from the time we first posted this. This is still a priority we have just had an influx of EAs that has consumed aloit of time. No worries though it is coming.
If I may, it is the miracle grow to my spiritual growth. I would have always grown spiritualy in life but without the Craft I suspect I would be no where near the level I am now.
The majority of the building is still used for Masonic stuff and not musuem and so they make us pay the taxes out the nose, we pay about 100k a year in taxes. We funnel a few things through the Temple Libary and museum to have 100% write for donations(i.e. museum stuff) but the tax man would not...
