I have seen the Star in the East

I should also add that while school is in session, the kids have choir practice on Wednesday when OES meets thereby making it almost impossible for both of us that time of the year. Your "everyday" babysitter is not qualified to play car-pool...

I have seen the Star in the East

Debra and I have kids ages 7 & 6 and its usually impossible for us both to be able to attend and support OES fully. What usually happens is she goes and I watch the kids unless there is an initiation or special event and we get a sitter. This will soon change as Debra seems to be placed into a 3...

    GLoLA visits TX Lodge

Bryan's Lodge is a York Rite (blue lodge). There are (I believe) three Lodges within the GLoLA operating as Scottish Rite (red lodge). Of course as you know within the city of New Orleans there are several operating charters (German, French, Italian, Spanish) so it is not uncommon to see...

    Are they Clandistine?

If you will post the Lodge name, number and city I will be more than happy to look the Lodge up in "Lodges Masonic" and put the question to bed. Just let me know.

    Endowed Membership Program

We currently have members Endowing at my home Lodge (myself included). Personally I believe that it helps me to "expand" out into other apendant bodies.... For example, once my EM is paid off at my home Lodge, I will finally be able to afford to petition the Dallas AASR... :) I still believe...

    GLoLA visits TX Lodge

Last night Thomas B. Hunter Lodge #1356 was honored by the visit of a representative of the Grand Lodge of Louisianna, Worshipful Bryan Price - Grand Organist. This was Bryan's first visit to a TX Lodge, and first TX Fellow Craft Degree. Bryan shared with us some of the differences within our...

    Hookah smoking

I too partake of the Hookah. A good friend and Brother brought me back a pipe and tobacco from Dubi. The wife and I enjoy its relaxing qualities and the fact that it smells like insence when its lit! We are curently enjoying a watermelon flavored tobacco.

    Is it a real lodge?

According to the 2008 edition of "List of Lodges Masonic" published by the GLoTX, there is no such Lodge. There is no listing for a Lodge in Coal City. #133 belongs to Marshall Lodge located in Marshall, Illinois. I hope this helps you.

    Is it a real lodge?

I will check my copy of "Lodges Masonic" when I get home later this morning. If the lodge is not listed there chances are that the lodge and its members are what the GLoTX conciders "clandestined". I'll be more than happy to look it up for you!

Two Things: I personally never met a beer that I did not like. Correction, Blue Moon is the Only beer that I have tried that I did not like. I drank one, and poured 5.5 of them down the sink. Secondly, I want every Brother here that is a Home Brewer to know that I find myself an expert in...

    Investigation Committees

We meet the petitioner at his home for a couple of reasons. First to view his home life (wife, kids, signs of abuse etc.), and provide the chance for his spouse to ask any questions that she might have. Also, I feel that this makes the person a bit more comfortable about the interview process by...
