    Traveling Brother

The Family and I are Traveling to New Jersey for our Summer Vacation. I will be dragging them up around 2:00 am in the morning to begin the long drive to visit my wife's family. We'll be back in DFW in time for my installation as T.I.M. next Friday nght. Maybe I will get to see a few...

    Morals and Dogma

Here is my two cents... I noticed that your signature indicates that you are yet in the petitioning stages of Masonry. From where you stand at this moment until you are a Master Mason, stay away from books and the internet pertaining to Masonry. It is not a good idea to fill your mind with...

    My Concerns regarding Masonry

The first steps in Masonry only require one to believe in Diety. There is no right or wrong Diety. Nothing is "forced" on you. In the upper degrees of York Rite Masonry, at a certain point there is a clarification as to which Diety as BroBill just pointed out.

    Joining lodge 438 arlington tx

Have you made any attempt to attend a function at the Lodge when it is in an "open" meeting, or a meal before their monthly or Stated meetings? Signatures are not that hard to come by once you visit with those Brethren for a little whle... I know the Jr. Past Master, Bruce Dalton.

Go ahead and rant....we need the release

Okay here is mine! I wish that new Past Masters would not cut-tail and run after installation. It seems that once you have exited the East, you are excused from ever returning... The Past Master's that I speak of in my earlier post (Bro. Hatley), are the ones that went through the chairs 20...

What was your favorite Blue Lodge Degree?

They all have their important points but to me the Fellow Craft is my favorite. The lessons taught within the middle chamber open up a LARGE learning curve to those who love to "learn" all about our fraternity!

Go ahead and rant....we need the release

Wow! Well, maybe I should send you half of our past masters... We have none of the issues that you have at your Lodge! I guess that I am lucky!

    Website Newsletters

I agree. For those who are not online here often I think that it is a wonderful idea. For me, it usually gets dumped into the trash can becasue I already know what's in it...

KO2134, Two things... Your age. You can not petiton a Lodge within the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Texas until you are 18 years old. I can not vouch for the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas and it's regulations. Who ever told you that "traditonally" black Brethren are...

To Shrine or Not To Shrine...

Various Shrines have been offering similar discounts for the last few years now. Hella Shrine of Garland, TX has been offering membership for around $100. The cost covers your fez and the per capita to International. I joined a few years ago on the same kind of offer. I made initiation, but...

    Protesting

I do not believe that I have ever heard a "full" investigative report read out loud at a Stated Communication, only if favorable or not favorable... I suppose that I assumed the information included on these reports was intended to remain private to the individuals.
