    Lodge Dues?

And that seem to be the really interesting point. If financial market is good and the interest and payout is high, then the endowments work great. Believe they also carry on even after a brother is deceased (correct me if I'm wrong), so that's another plus for them. The challenges is that when...

time limit to learn FC profiency

Slightly off topic, but it is interesting to see how in the US there is a limit on the maximum time you can spend in a degree. Many other places around the world it is the other way around. I know for instance that a lot of European lodges would not confer more than one degree per year.

time limit to learn FC profiency

I've not heard of any, but haven't checked the articles. As the FC work is so close to the EA work it would surprise me if it would take longer than a couple of months or so for a brother to pick up the difference.

Resources for the Worshipful Master to be

I'm new to the board, though I've been lurking for a while, so I'm not the one at all to set the standards around here. It is a private message board after all. However I will admit that I've been surprised about the political section of the board as well as some of the various political...

Resources for the Worshipful Master to be

If you want some good reference texts, check this link http://www.masonicrenewal.org - they have a lot of good info on leadership, running the lodge etc. A do and don't could be not to bring politics into the lodge. Even if it's only via a signature on a message board ;)
