Interesting Discussion about Freemasonry with a family member....

My Grandfather was a Mason and my Grandmother very active in the OES. The thing is, he never mentioned it other than talking about the Band he was in in Grotto and how important it was that I should learn to play an instrument. My Dad was not a Mason, nor was my Uncle, and I am not sure why...

    Reaffliating

Bro. Jeremy Bell - I pray for your full recovery! Bro JGP, I really can't envision anything but a warm welcome to your return. We have a Brother in our Lodge who recently "returned to the fold" after quite a long absence. In when he stopped being able to attend Lodge due to family issues her...

    Next Steps?

Similar story to Warrior. I was raised in Nevember of 2016, I attended the December Stated meeting and sat on the sidelines. That was the LAST time I have sat on the sidelines in my Lodge. The Junior Deacon was absent for the January Stated Meeting and I was asked to sit in. Between the...

If that was said in the interview process and I were on the Committee I would not be in favor of his petition moving forward. If that were known to me at the ballot I would raise an objection.

    Cornoa Shut Down

PA Lodge openings very by the "Color Code" status of the County. RED = NO Masonic Activity Yellow = Small gatherings (under 25 people) (NO Stated, Extra or Special Meetings) 2 weeks after Yellow status begins Green = Stated, Extra and Special Meeting permitted with restrictions TBD 2 weeks...

    AF&AM vs F&AM?

Firstly, The GL of PA is the only GL that is and has always been "Ancient." When the "Ancients" and the "Moderns" United, PA was the only Jurisdiction where no "Modern" Lodges existed and thus no change was made to the ritual of the "Ancients" or our Ahimon Rezon. PA is F&AM. In reality the...

    More Covid Shut Downs

GL of Pennsylvania now suspended all activities until July 1, effectively closing until September. Though it may be possible to hold social / fundraising events over the summer if restrictions are lifted by Commonwealth / County and the Grand Master.

    EAs and Fellowcarft Visits

It all would depend on what Degree the Lodge is working in the evening they wanted to visit. Al of our District Visitations are now done in the EA Degree, so we always have EA and FC visitors at District Visitations. We have no examination other than for a MM and only MMs are issued dues...

    The Name Game

Vinny, the game is that you must use the first letter of the previous poster's Last Name as the first letter of the First name of the name you post. So the next word off of Ripcord22A's post should have a FIRST name that begins with the letter "R".

    Organization of Triangles, Inc-New York

Congratulations to Bianca and her Proud Dad! Is Triangle a NY only organization? Do Rainbow for Girls and Job's Daughters also operate in NY or is Triangle the only Girls Youth organization associated with Masons?

GL of Florida recognizes Florida PHA GL

Good news surely, but it certainly could move faster. I am glad that I live where this mutual recognition happened faster than in some other jurisdictions. The GL of PA ( or must I say the Right Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Most Ancient and Honorable Fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons...

So I have something to think about.

What exactly are the duties of a "Sentinel" in your lodge? I am not familiar with that nomenclature for a Masonic Office. Is it the equivalent of a Tyler or what some Jurisdictions call an "Inner Guard?" As I have mentioned several times in other threads, jurisdictional differences fascinate me.
