    Origins of Freemasonry

Show me proof that the guys who invented freemasonry where christians? From my point of view what you have shown is speculation and believe Masonry was invented in England and Scottland. If the rules where not to write anything how could we know when and where? If it has to be on paper for...

    Origins of Freemasonry

Brother Huw I gathered something a little different when I read the Cooke Manuscript. First off the portion you are quoting is referencing masons in England in the time of Athelstan and not masons accross the world. The charges say in their time they where to adapt to the releigion of the...

Per Capita for Grand Lodge of Texas

The sale of the Home and school did net a big chunk of money but that will pale to the amount of revenue from the oil and gas rights from the land it sat on. I was surprised at the amount of the money as well mostly because 148 doanted the land and I wished they had kept it in 148. lol That...

Per Capita for Grand Lodge of Texas

no it does not but that is a problem not many rural towns have just the urban ones like Houston, Dallas, and Tarrant County to name the big three.

    Wm=pm?

Um, not sure about them becoming a PM at the same time as they are the current master? Duriing GL a PM get a vote of a different color and a sitting WM cannot get a PM voting ballet they vote with the Lodge ballot as they are the lodge rep at GL. I do not believe a WM is an offical member at GL...

Per Capita for Grand Lodge of Texas

This might work for a few lodges but most struggling lodges are not worht a hill of beans. Good example is Nash Lodge 638 which I am a member there building might be worth $25.00 and the land is might render the same but more than likely if you try and sell most of these lodges and the brothers...

    Proposed Racism Resolution

funny you should mention my Grandfather because both of them when I was young was as racist as they come and I heard all kinds of crazy comments. But as I got older and had influence on them, you know what they did? They changed! Both accepted what they beleived was wrong, let the hate go and...

You missed that one by a mile brother JEbling and I do not appreciate the innuendo you knew how I felt when the brother left. I was taunting no one and I am sorry you feel that bringing a black man to lodge is taunting but like you said you have that right. If he would have stayed that would...

    Wizards, Wackjobs, and Weirdoes

If this where a social club it would be where the other social clubs like the Oddfellows ended up, in some book as history. Masonry's rabbit hole is much deeper than any social organization allowing the Masons curiosity to run free and while most are scared to death of the depths of the hole...

Per Capita for Grand Lodge of Texas

I am with you on that thought Wing masonry is to cheap but what is this increase have to boast beside paying for the way things already are? I would like to see this burden spread out a little more so it is not all reliant on a per capita increase. What has GL tried beside the sale of...

Per Capita for Grand Lodge of Texas

We had our official DDGM visit last night and the GM message is about raising per capita and I want to know how you Texas brothers feel about it(or others as well of course). The proposal if for going from $14.25 to $25. Currently the GL operates off of $7 of that 14.25 and the rest goes to...

Tested to see if they would hold true to their word last night and the old guys will NOT sit in with a black man. He left quite peacefully as soon as he saw the man and made no scene what so ever but left none the less. Ii is no fun to see anyone go but I can not tolerate hatred and am glad to...
