    What keeps men in Masonry?

Again, Brother Bill_Lins77488 shows us the way. There are those in leadership roles in masonry who often need to "... or get off the pot." Love the symbolism there brother. :14:

    What keeps men in Masonry?

One of the younger brothers came to me last week and said he spoke for the group and they wanted more. I told him I would like to meet with the group and let them air their views. This may be the breakthrough my home lodge is waiting for. We are in a state of generational transformation...

Re: Georgia Black Mainstream Mason Is Black Balled Again For The Second Time In His M Brethren, You can lead a horse to water but, most unfortunately, you can't keep him from taking a leak. When will this ever end?

    Grand Lodge of Texas Codebook

Brother Paul, I attended a called meeting with the Right Worshipful this morning and, as always, I considered it a pleasure. Each time he took my arm in the west I thought of how I would treasure that feeling all the years of my life. Love the old master very much. And, I am truly impressed...

    Fall 2011 Texas Mason Magazine

Brother Bill, when did you folks receive your copy? Neither of my blue lodges have received copied to date. I was working an EA degree this morning at one and the Secretary verified that he was still waiting for receipt.

They are. But some feel they have no place on the candidates statement of availability. That was the stance until recently. I suppose it has something to do with meeting upon the square. Being an educated, experienced man who toils in several community activities, I don't suppose I feel...

    Reunion Nov 5th in Austin

Oops! I'd like to attend a weekend reunion in Austin some day. But I'll be in Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-LSU game that weekend. And ... I'm pretty happy I was able to get those tickets. Geaux Tigers!

Very interested yet a little wary

Agreed LukeD. Masonry is like any large family. There are good and bad times ... mostly good. And then, there are those magic times that shake you to the core. We're so lucky to have this mystique tie.

Ditto all. Give a few of the more progressive lodges here in Houston a try. The first of which come to mind are Jacques DeMolay and Gray Lodge. Personally, I'd be damn proud of my wife and children, no matter the race. And, I suspect you feel the very same way.
