I was discussing yard sales with brethren of Aldine Lodge Friday morning. They've held one several years now. Last yerar the cleared $1900 for a one-day event.
We should spend more money on renovating the Grand Lodge of Texas.
We should pay enough dues to keep from spending all of our time (though this appears to be in dispute) raising money to keep the doors open at our local lodges.
And last, but certainly not least, we should hire a better...
I'm not a member but I see good work go on in our local OES group. It would be much, much better were there a span of age groups involved. However, whether that means adopting the aforementioned guidelines or not is, of course, up to the OES. I wish the members well in their endeavors to...
Careful Brother Hatley, sooner or later someone is going to drop one of those rough ashlars on your foot or toe.
At that point you may reach the critical stage, depending upon your insensitivity. Make sure you are prepared and have a tough enough skin to consider the source. Other times...

One brother told me he wears his where he can display the most light. He considers the compasses as the side of the ring that displays light.
Wears it with the compasses pointing toward him. Says he displays much more light bouncing it off his slick bald head.
Sometimes, when he catches...
Masonry can't come on the cheap. Not for long. We've got to start paying our way. That takes planning and it takes money.
Today's fees are much less per the cost of inflation than they were n the 1960s. If we paid more, we might value our fraternity more. There are ways to cover those who...
Good take Brother Maloney. And, everyone should remember the stakes (including death) were much higher in those days.
Voltaire, were he alive, could surely enlighten us on that. He found himself surrounded by zealots on all sides. Brethren, what if we had to live his life?
Anyone feel up...
