Read it, the book is Pro-Masonry. It is very interesting. Clearly a work of fiction, much more so than the "Code" was. I think if you are on here, you have demonstrated your ability to read, write and an extrordinary interest in Masonry - get it read it, compare it to what you know.

Absolutely perfect! We have to turn the decline in members around and do it now.
This situation ties to the discussion on the JW challenging the SW for the East. We cannot wait on tradition, we cannot wait on the "other guy", we cannot wait on the "other lodge". It is our responsibility...
Have not seen a JW challenge the SW, but have seen Sec challenge SW for East.
I agree it is uncomfortable, it is ONLY tradition that the SW goes to the East; were it otherwise then why ask for nominations? Why have elections, just have coronations.
Just as in all things, the Lodge MUST come...
I soooo love and appreciate the "pull the charter" crowd. Real inspiring, real compassion, real brotherly love. I had a discussion on the very subject with someone just a few days ago.
My feeling is when your only tool is a hammer - everything looks like a nail.

Yes I brought it up tonight at our stated meeting and we discussed some of the possible reactions, telling our guys how to handle the questions and reminded them of the EA charge.
Brothers just an update - the Funeral is tomorrow at 4P in Arlington. Alex was an organ donor so many lives will be touched positively by his passing. Thank you all for your prayers for the Wilsons - they will need them tomorrow.
One other thing my Brothers - the GAOTU gave us a brain and...
Well I think I explained what I meant, but I will try again. I never said the Obligation superceeded the Law, what I did say is that the Law does not superceed the obligation. They are part and parcel of one another. What I said in a later post was that instead of beating over someone over...
Brothers -
I would ask for your prayers for a family (the Wilsons) we are close with. Their son, Alex, had gone to school with my youngest daughter since pre-school. They just unplugged his life support at 6:30P Central time.
The kid was driving an expensvie sports car yesterday, lost...
Wingnut - first of all I am VERY happy your family is OK. Cars and stuff can be replaced - people not so much. We have neighbors who are dealing with the other scenario literally as I type this. Prayers for the family of Alex Wilson would be in order. He grew up with my daughter and he...

I conversely wonder if we pound on all those who do not know everything instead of instructing; if we judge those whom we have not set in Lodge with; we "report" him or them whom we hear to be not following...
