    5% Biodiesel ?

I just noticed around the Houston area that a few stations are now selling fuel that the sign states "may contain up to 5% biodiesel or renewable diesel". Anybody running this stuff? Had any fuel related problems? I've the newer diesels are supposed to be OK with it but what about my '01 7.3?

Better yet, bring her on a "family night" so she can meet the wives and girlfriends of the Masons!

Do a little family history and see if there are any Masons on all sides. Maybe your parents had a bad experience with some family member, before you were born or old enough to remember. Same with your wife. Then again, you might find a mason in there that they looked up admired.

    Masonic shooters

I've bought one revolver from Buds. No problems w/ my FFL as they are listed on Buds web page as one they already have an FFL copy on file.

    Masonic shooters

Texas DPS went from N-frame .357S&W to Sig 9mm and then optional 45acp. They later standardized to 357Sig after researching their shootings. 1911 are not show off guns, that's the way they are designed to be carried! Studies have been done to prove that bad guys tend not challenge cops with...

    Masonic shooters

Drive down to Tomball Pawn...don't let the name fool you. Really good prices on new guns. The 1911 is a professional's handgun. It will take you a thousand perfect presentations to develop muscle memory to be competent to begin to carry one. I carried one for alot of years as a duty gun-still...

    Petitions and investigation reports

Not sure what Masonic law says but I think reading the petition and hearing the IC report would be a good idea. There may be Brothers present that were not there the night the petition was first read or there may be several petitions turned in on short order and no one wants to get candidates...

    member directory

When I was active, we put one out every year at installation. If some one didn't want their information out there I guess one could ask to not have it in there. I would suggest that if your lodge has never done one, to ask if anyone has objection to being placed in the directory, either all or...

    bustn caps

Carried a 1911 as a duty gun for years, still qualify with it! Just switched to an XD-M, still 45ACP! I miss the psychological intimidation of a cocked and locked, with custom grips, that the 1911 brings. (Yes, studies have been done!) If I was CCL holder, I'd never gotten away from the 1911.

    concealed carry

In the "Lodge Room" is NOT the sane as carrying in the lodge building! As a Texas peace officer I carry every where I go. (yes in church too-whole nother discussion there). As I stated somewhere else on those pages, I don't vast on the lodge room itself when it's a tiled meeting, I leave it in a...

Been away from my lodge for 8 months. I miss it

I was working my way through the chairs, I was JD when I promoted. Had to change shifts and days off so I couldn't continue. The Master and Immediate PM knew I might get promoted and not be able to finish the year. They had no problem with it as I had told them both in advance that I was on...

    concealed carry

As a peace officer I always carry I just leave my handgun in a little room outside the lodge room Depending on your neighborhood and town leaving it in the car vs locked in an office would just depend. I don't think I need a firearm in lodge because of my brothers but because of who may show up...

Fairbanks #1363 put one up a few years ago. Just a blue and white sign w/an arrow pointing down the street to the Lodge.

Cell phone use in the Lodge

I can't imagine texting during a called or stated meeting as appropriate and accepted! If it's an emergency step out and handle it. If it's a protracted deal, stay down stairs or out of the lodge room proper and take care of it. Maybe for a MM you could go back in for Part II. Using your...
