Not sure what 'up' and 'down' meant... I wear my ring with the open compass toward my hand. In fact, this is how we're 'directed' to wear it in the GL of NC.
I've noticed the designation "F.G.C.R." in their signature block. After a quick bit of Google-Fu, I discovered the GCR.
Fellows of the GCR: What can you tell us about the GCR? It looks interesting, but (in true Masonic organization fashion) the website is a little... thin.

Congrats! Now, do yourself a favor: go back and dive into the Fellowcraft degree. There's a lot to learn there, and (many times) it's lost between Initiation and Raising.

Completed the first book last night, and sending it off today. I liked the format and the general overview of the material. It builds a good foundation in the Lodge of Perfection.
