In addition to the above things listed, I would like to see more accountability from the bottom up. Members on Lodge Committees should be assigned certain goals. They should then report to the Jr. Warden, as in the LIFE Program, and he should report to the WM. If something is not going well the...
I do not know. I requested it be on the forum and noticed it gone some time ago but did not bring it up. I personally would agree with you and like to see it added back. I too will include you in my prayers. Hope all is well and be sure and keep us posted on your speedy recovery.
I think this is posted in the correct spot. That being said, it is my experience that each Lodge is different. I am a member of a Lodge that buys a Lifetime Membership and Jewel. Then my other Lodge buys just an endowed membership for the Past Master.
I do want to build on this question...
This is a good question. I am curious to proper protocol on this. I pesonally would think that the DDGM would come first since he is the equivalent of the GM sitting in your Lodge but I am not really certain. I see where the WM would be intorduced first as well.
I have attached a snapshot...
Had there been a Form 101 would they have learned it on their own?? My bet is no. So my next question is how does the form 101 hurt a lodge if it is under GL control? I still don't see the other side. If you can't take the time to learn the open and close then what? You learned more in the Q&A...
Should the answer be Yes? Grand Lodge step in and enforce the Law that was written. The problem is EVERYONE in the state know it won't though and that is why it has reached this point. Do you know how many times I have personally heard, "What is Grand Lodge going to do about it?". A ton. That is...
Brother Tidwell, thank you for asking this question. We have some great answers as well. I feel like it could better be served in the Law section so if a Brother is wondering what the DI and DDGM can help with on he could find it more easily.
Wow, after reading this it sounds like the ALL program should be taught to EA's. Which is what we have been kicking around for some time. But when I brought this up at my other Lodge you would have tahought I slap someones Mom for trying to change what something.
I highly recommend JP Luther. They have set my Lodge up with a great Net 30 system so it allows us to get the supplies as we need then vote the bill in Lodge. They also have a great online store and are easy to work with.
Ok, you are a voting member of the Grand West. We have the ability to have visitation with the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas, F&AM. The doors are tiled and the vote it to be taken. I want to know would you allow the visitation between the two.
Please everyone Vote. I honestly would like to...
The other day when I was trying to update the GL results my phone would not allow me to. I kept getting a vbulletin error saying the token has expired. Whats up with that?
I agree Tom, this is the point where we rely on others to think for us, giving them power to control how we think. By doing this we open the door for ego and control. Eventually the power given can grow too great. Like Sean Connery.
I can really agree with this statement. I guess the thing I wonder about is where in the "chain", as Tom states, becomes currupt and this really seems to be this point. At the point power is given. I think I can go as far as say it is the wonderful three letter word that many of us struggle...
