I was in bed asleep. (I worked nights) My roomate came running in saying "America is being attacked" I responded "No way thats not possible" and blew it off. Then he reached over and flipped on my TV to show the second plane hit and I didn't know what to do. It is an image I will always remember.
I am all for it. The more these things come out the more traffic my Lodge site gets. We have so many people join and stay when these air because after watching they get curious and begin to search the net on Masonry. We just need to be ready to answer when the knock on the door happens.
The...

As our tradition at MoTx we as staff like to see open discussion on various resolutions that are being presented before Grand Lodge of Texas at their Annual Communication. You may choose to write for or against on each or you may like to go in detail. At minimum, BE RESPECTFUL. Just because you...
Prince Hall Masonry
This is an article that will soon be featured in our newsletter that we are in the process of putting together. The article is on the history of Prince Hall and Masonry. It was written and researched by Thomas Shelton, who is also a Grand South Candidate this year.
One of the weakest parts of man is EGO and if a man has too much pride to ask a Brother for help then what has been learned in the teachings? The problem is we choose not to get close to our Brothers and it is a friendship. The love I have for my Brothers is hard to describe and there is no...
They have to ask to receive and deemed worthy. We have guys at a lodge I am a member of that ask for help at the last minute and I work with them at Lockheed making $25/hr +. I am all with helping but not everyone that asks is automatic. It needs to be handled with a case by case basis. We are...
Actually every year there is a Constituent Lodges of Texas that is sent out to all the Lodges. You can purchase this fairly cheap from your Lodge Secretary or contact GL directly. In the back is a list of every lodge that has gone dark or merged. It gives years and more. A good resource to have...
I chose education because I think with an improvement and increase in education you can solve many of the other issues. Our declining membership is due to generations becoming complacent and if a member was not intrested or engaged no big deal we had others to take his place. More people are...
1. It will soon come up again that PHA does want visitation. I know this for a fact and the original compact had visitation but were instructed to remove it by the Fraternal Relations Committee. We didn't think recognition would pass OUR membership had visitation been there.
2. You are...
This is not something that is widely done from what I see on the net. Or at least not advertised on the web. I found a couple of sites with this http://heywoodenamels.com/main/enamel_jewellery_jewelry_repair_restoration_01.html being the best I think. However it is in Austrailia. I bet if you...
I partially agree with this. I do think that Lodges should be focused on their own membership woes and Grand Lodge should not interfere with that, but I do think it is important that the Grand Lodge offer guidance and assistance should a Lodge need some. I think it should be focused on creating...
