Thank you for your thoughtful response, Brother. No disrespect intended and I did not mean "shut 'em down" but rather where to encourage new apprentices to go to get the most out of Masonry as other lodges fade gracefully.
Brothers. Hope all of you and your families are well. Our lodge just approved three petitions and we will have new Entered Apprentices soon! It's very exciting. Our lodge seems to be doing well. Others in my state, not so much. I've heard tales of lodges where the average age is well over...
Yes, that was the intention. Thank you! This quickly got sidetracked, which is rather disappointing, given the humanitarian crisis going on. Pray for our brothers on both sides of the conflict.
Greetings! South Carolina has a strong masonry heritage and tradition. Your best bet would be to contact the state Grand Lodge and ask them to match you with a local lodge near you so you can meet the members, ask questions, and find out if this is right for you. Good luck.
That's wonderful! I enjoyed everything (had to remind myself not to try to fight back at first). What was really great was signing the lodge register which dates back to the 1890s, holding the signature of every MM for over 120 years! (Probably not so impressive to my Bros across the pond, but...

Brothers,,

Best regards,
Mike Mendelson, MM
Forgive me, brother, because I don't know you personally, but only from your heartfelt post here, for which you are to be applauded. It's tough to share these kinds of concerns.
However, if your consumption is 4-5 beers 3X week on average, that doesn't seem sustainable or healthy over the long...
To all my brothers around the world, I wish you a happy, healthy, successful New Year grounded in the principles and tenets of our profession. The world needs us now more than ever.
Best regards, Mike (FC)
Are there any good, accurate documentaries on the historical Knights Templar? I'm particularly interested in the organization, culture (and cultural influences), and structure of the order, as well as the architecture of its castles, churches, and commanderies. I don't trust NatGeo or the...
Yes. Six candidates. Two of us did our catechism (the other four had done theirs at their home lodge), then we had two groups for the degree work. It was a long but fantastic night!
