I'm actually going to be in Sydney for a wedding on Saturday 20 Jan... arriving on the Friday, but even if you were meeting, I am sure my partner would shoot me for suggesting I bugger off to lodge LOL... she's very patient and supportive... but has her limits.
We had a brother with us for...
Very cool - Victoria is looking to start a University Lodge, others having handed in their warrant long ago.
How old is 544 ? ... but then looked it up http://www.lodgeunisyd.org/historyoflodgeuniversityofsydney and i see it was consecrated in 1924. Lodge of France looks particularly...
I do like a bit of thread drift, it often happens in conversation...
While some lodge have money, many do not... and those that do, many are great at spending money on orphans and schools, but when it comes to painting their own building or establishing a web site, they are often...
Same reason we support the distressed, because they need it.
The problem is a cable tow only stretches so far and there's only so many hours in the day.
The whole thread got focused on the first response rather than the original post. The response was support them to bring new blood into the...
Thanks.. but if 90% of Demolay join and 2% of scouts, scouts would still win on a number of candidates basis, but Demolay the more likely to get candidates.

Really, the only way to talk about this is what would be the advantages and a lot of people would see strengths as weaknesses..
Two questions here in your post.
1 One GL per state?
Not a fan. Someone has to give up traditions and sign over assets. I like diversity in the Craft..
2 National GL?
Creates systemic risk and consolidating or regulating all GLs would be trick. You realize Sovereignty is important when someone...
Agreed on analytics... my bounce rate is high (about 60%) but then again so is the time on site and page views of 2.something, tells me I get entries via google, people read what they are interested in, maybe look at another page, then move on... what is interesting is when you get a visitor...
6.3 million
That's how many pageviews are showing on Chris Hodapp's blog page..
http://freemasonsfordummies.blogspot.com.au/
That's pretty astounding, it's from 2010 - averaging more than 1 million hits a years.
I get excited because I've got 24K LOL, but there is going to be a generation (or...
