The Grand Lodge of Texas and the MWPHATX recognize each other but there is no visitation as of yet. It works both ways. A member of the GLoT couldn't visit a Prince Hall lodge in Texas as well. Hopefully, there will be a change in the future.

I agree with you regarding the initiation part. Until the original poster elaborates further, it is difficult to ascertain exactly what he meant in his original statement. I am not sure if the branding was part of the initiation process or not or even if branding was what he meant.

He might have actually meant branding. It is popular in Black fraternities and there are some similarities to Prince Hall between the two. I have some myself but I chose to do it. Of course a lot of people won't understand that.

The GLoT recognizes Prince Hall but there is no visitation. There are about 8 or 9 states in the US that don't recognize Prince Hall that are recognized by the UGLE.

You must be a master mason in good standing to join so it is not an issue. They are recognized by the UGLE.
