Agreed, We do not even ask anyone in my lodge what church a member attends or even whether or not he attends a church whether in tiled lodge or the meal before the tiled meeting.

I feel the same way. If an officer does not regularly attend to his duties why should he progress through the line simply due to seniority in the line.

I'm just saying that I would attend the funeral of a brother that I didn't know personally simply to show respect to a deceased brother Mason.

I don't know either. In Kentucky we are required to wear it over our jacket. I think that it would look better under the jacket.

I know that my lodge always has a good turn out for funerals. I don't know why some do not unless many are too fragile to make it or, sad to say, lack of interest. I do know that I want a a Masonic funeral when I go.

Just three weeks ago I was visiting a lodge and was tapped to play a part in the MM ritual. This is common in my state.

Word for word is not required, the brothers just want to be sure that you have learned the work properly.
