Greetings Brethren!

My name is Burx Norrod, and I’ve been a Freemason since 2012. I’m now in my third Grand Lodge jurisdiction—starting in Virginia, moving to Idaho in 2016, and now residing in New Mexico.

Aspiring to earn the coveted 'gold card' in Ritual Work has been both a challenge and a rewarding journey that I've not yet been able to achieve. Moving between jurisdictions has required me to continually relearn lectures, charges, and various Lodge rituals, all while teaching proficiencies. Despite the challenges, ritual work and Masonic education remain my primary passions within the Craft. Each experience offers new lessons that help refine my understanding and practice of Masonry.

I’m here to learn from others—what’s working well in your Lodges? I’d love to take back best practices and apply them to my own Lodge. Looking forward to the exchange—thanks in advance!

We focus on trying to develop the next generation of leaders in our lodge. That's working well.

We stay connected with a whatsapp group, very useful and enjoyable.

Using the phone to just say hi and check in with our members also helps us keep connected.

Brother Henry - I forgot I signed up for an account here ... there was no notifications or anything from this, not sure how relevant this page is. Just re-discovered it after googling myself I was Master of my Lodge last year, and wanted to gain insights into what was working in Lodges that were measurable for growth in both membership and active engagement. I ended up discovering that Ritual Work and Education are the differentiating factors for Freemasonry ... and wrote a book called Pillars of Freemasonry that I published recently that speaks to this.
