The lists and protocols are already in the hands of the Lodge Secretaries. Have been for a month.

MWPHGL of Texas Approves Cross Visitation!!!

I don't read the word "affiliation" there?

    charitable activity records

Every Texas lodge is supposed to maintain records of its charitable activities and those of its members. I don't think that is very strictly enforced, and most lodges in my area have no idea that it is required. Is this being kept up in other areas?

    Texas Commanderies...a modest proposal

I wonder if there are many Knights Templar like me, who get upset that after a year of awful, terrible, disillusioning Commandery openings, we scramble for a month or two to be able to do one good opening for Grand Commandery inspection. Why can't we have the inspections early in our...

    Healing

$400 to be healed? Is that par for the course amongh Grand Lodges that allow healing? I'm mystified.

    lawbook

I guess I should have specified that I am talking about the Grand Lodge of Texas.

    lawbook

I have s vague recollection of some rule that said the Junior Warden of a lodge was to be supplied with a copy of the Constitution and Laws. However, I can't find any mention of it in the lawbook. Am I hallucinating?

    a Mystery.

Just on a whim, the other day, I went looking to see if I could find out where we get the notion that KST was supported by 1453 columns and twice as many pilasters. I knew it wasn't in the Bible. It is mentioned in Andersons Constitutions, so it's been in masonic lore for a good long while...

    Why not visitation?

I stand corrected on that point.

    Why not visitation?

I think you should maybe check with your Grand Secretary. The fact that some Freemasons may ignore or be unaware of the protocol is not evidence that it doesn't exist. I think you maybe should maybe consider that the laws of the Grand Lodge of Texas are not the same as those of the UGLE, and...

    Hiramic Legend

Reading the Spring 2014 edition of the Texas Prince Hall Grand Lodge magazine, on page 14 I found an article relating that a class of 85 candidates had witnessed the "Hiramic Legend performed in full" at the Grand Lodge meeting. The article described this as something very special and unusual...

    Why not visitation?

Brother Richard, I think maybe I expressed myself poorly, and led to misunderstanding. Let me start over, and forgive me for being lengthy in the interests of being clear. Certainly, the GLoT can not tell any other Grand Lodge how to manage its fraternal relations. The UGLE and other non-PH...

    Why not visitation?

By the way, Brother Martin...if a UGLE Brother arrived unannounced, without invitation, at any GLoT lodge, with only his dues card and the proper passwords, he would be welcomed and given entry. Is that the case if I "just show up" at a UGLE lodge?

    Why not visitation?

Bro. Upton, I don't want to press for fast answers, but are definite and official answers possible? Aside from being published in the Pantograph Guide, I could call the GLoT office tomorrow and get instant information on whether a member of the UGLE could sit in my lodge. I don't understand...

    Why not visitation?

And, to further stirr the pot. The PH Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, is older than the GLoT, and since the MWPHGLoT is recognized as regular by us by virtue of its descent from them, perhaps we shold petition THEM for recognition.
  16. T

    Why not visitation?

Let me append the observation that, obviously, the compact works (or doesn't work) both ways, and that the GLoT does not receive visitors in its lodges from he MWPHGLoT. And, it's worth noting, that no PH GL has asked the GLoT for recognition subsequent to recognition being extended to the...

    Why not visitation?

Actually, I am open to being corrected on this point. It is indisputable that the MWPHGLoT will not allow a member of the GLoT to sit in one of their lodges...we have the compact to that effect, or a link to it, posted elsewhere on this site, I believe. If they allow other "mainstream" masons...

Visitation Between Prince Hall and Regular Lodges

It would be helpful to you to acquire and study the Constitution and Laws of the GL of Texas. Any single Past Master may propose a resolution. (Art. 172) I'm surprised someone didn't explain this to you while you were trying to recruit support.
