That would not be the view of Freemasons if I am reading your comment correctly. The character of a Freemason should not be just to obey the law of the land, but be of such good conduct, if your "secret" deeds were known, the only thing they should attract is praise for good works.
Actually, it is often a really good conversation starter ! Especially in Freemasonry, because there are elements which seem to make perfect sense to some, that others will see as a contradiction...
On a slightly different but related tact, to understand what something is, it is often good to...
You might search for different answers in this board or google, but you will find the same answer everwhere. There are no lodges you can join there. Don't trust anyone who says you can become a Freemason in Saudi

I often enjoy the...
Thanks !

Excellent !
THANKS...
One might say the comment was on the management of a Church and that managment's position on its members not being Freemasons, but also with Freemasonry itself (still often incorrectly very incorrectly described by some Church leaders as "The Masonic Sect") rather than comment on a Faith...
For me, it's almost a binary position. I can answer or I cannot. The reason I cannot are probably two fold, it violates my obligations OR, I don't know the answer....
But really, the only true way to know Freemasonry is to join it and then study it. Do it some more, then study it again :)
